M.Sc. Nursing

A Master degree in Nursing imparts the knowledge and skills necessarily required for preparing the nurses by giving them clinical decision making skill based on theory & research. A life-long learners, graduates are prepared to deliver quality health care for increasingly diverse populations. In nursing services, the nurse works with the members of allied disciples such as dietetics, medical social service, pharmacy etc. in supplying a comprehensive program of patient care in the hospital.

Duration:

MSc Nursing is a two-year post-graduate nursing course .

Eligibility:

  1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent to any state Nursing Registration Council
  2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc Hons Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55 % aggregate marks.
  3. The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc Hons Nuring / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing council.
  4. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc Nursing.
  5. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
  6. Candidate shall be medically fit
  7. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given
